Used to be 'The Place' to eat in Metamora. It is now showing signs of a place going out of business soon. Parking lot used to be jammed full evenings and week ends. Friday at 5:10 p.m. there was 6 cars in parking lot. I hope Tony, (owner) gets help somewhere to get him back on track. A few new waitresses would help a lot. Two of them have real bad attitudes and really don't care if you dtay or go. Great food but the portions are half what used to be and many times luke warm.

Good service, Old fashion country restaurant. Food was above average , staff very friendly
Ordered gyro and shrimp Alfredo. Salad was crisp and fresh. Gyro platter was ideally presented and easy to enjoy. The Alfredo sauce was better than an Italian restaurant in the area but has room for improvement. Apple pie and ice cream was run of the mill processed but good. Highlights included coffee cup never reached empty and even came with pot a couple times before we needed them to. Service was just excellent in every aspect topped off with REAL mashed potatoes it was a great experience. A little pricy but felt within reason for a family owned establishment.
We go to The Flame more than any other restaurant. Great service, great food, the chef is awesome!
